What this policy is about
This policy explains what cookies we use on the Site, why we use them, how long we keep them and how you choose. How we use the data they generate is described in our Privacy Policy.
Your choice
On your first visit, a banner asks you one question: do you accept the cookies that are not strictly necessary. There are two answers, Accept and Refuse. Your answer is remembered for one year, and after that we ask again. Until you accept, we use nothing beyond what the Site needs in order to work. The strictly necessary cookies are used either way, because without them the Site cannot function, and the law does not require your consent for them.
Strictly necessary cookies
The Site keeps one cookie of its own. It remembers your shopping cart, keeps you signed in, holds your language and your theme, lets an order placed as a guest be claimed later, and keeps the Site secure. It lasts about a year. It is used whether or not you accept, and the law does not ask for your consent for it, because without it the Site cannot work. We also remember your answer to the banner, so that we do not ask again on every page.
Analytics cookies
These are used only if you accept them, and only while audience measurement is enabled on the Site. They count visits and show us, in aggregate, how the shop is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, which steps are completed. We use this to improve the shop, not to identify you. The measurement is provided by Google, through Google Analytics and Google Ads, and these cookies are kept for at most two years. If you refuse, they are not used at all.
Cookies of other services
When you pay by card, the payment takes place on the secure page of our payment provider. When you sign in with a Google or a Facebook account, the sign-in window belongs to them. Those companies use their own cookies on their own pages, under their own policies, and we do not control them.
What happens if you refuse
The shop works. You can browse, search, add to cart, order, pay and follow your order with the banner refused. One feature is not available: the video greeting at checkout. It is offered only when your answer to the banner is Accept. If you refuse and later change your mind, the checkout offers to ask the question again. One thing still happens when you refuse. When an order is paid, our server reports the sale to Google so that we can measure our advertising. That report does not come from your browser and does not use a cookie, so refusing the banner does not stop it. It is explained in the Privacy Policy, along with how to object to it.
How to change your answer
The simplest way is the "Cookie settings" button at the bottom of every page. It reopens the same question and your new answer replaces the old one straight away. The checkout also offers to reopen it when you try to use the video greeting. You can also change your answer from your browser's privacy settings, where you can delete the cookies a site has kept. The banner then appears again on your next visit. The same settings let you block cookies altogether. If you block the strictly necessary ones, parts of the Site stop working: you will not stay signed in, and your cart will not be kept.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy whenever the cookies used by the Site change. The version published here is the version in force, and its date is shown below. Last updated: 25 August 2026
